Last blogged @ 3/09/2012 11:45:00 PM I was being bully.
Ohyea, did I say that I got back to work a few days
ago? I just started my work on Monday. Due to the huge amount that I am gonna
pay for my school fees when school reopens, I had no choice but to start work now
better than no income at all. At least, I don’t have to stay home and stare at
the lappy for hours everyday or even heard my mum’s nag with brother. Staying
at home for the whole entire month is really no joke for me. Perhaps one day I
would be address as 宅女.
I was being posted to work at Tampines for this whole
month. I hate working at this place because one problem is that it is far away
from my house, second is that there were a few promoters there which is giving
us problem almost everyday. Sometimes, I really don’t understand aunties
nowadays why they loved to bully us youngsters. Is it because we are youngsters
and you think that we are good to bully is it. I woke up early in the morning
today because I was being called up to go down to work at 9am today for the
wagon set up. When I arrived, no one was there. And the worst was the staff
entrance wasn’t opened yet. We waited for nearly half an hour to wait for the
security to open the door. When the door was opened the store man still wasn’t
there at all. Worst came to worst, when sharon called ah eng auntie she said
that she is still sleeping.
The moment she arrived is already 11am, we were all
ready set up for the eight wagons. And she came to me and say, “小妹(I am the youngest promoter there, so everyone address
me this) , what time did you reached?” I say, “9am.” She was like, “Huh? So
early ar?” Like what the.. AH!~ Around 12plus, ah eng auntie say to me, “小妹, later I go eat 1.30 ar. What time you eating ar?” In
my mind was really furious at that time, because she had already say that she
is going at 1.30 and I had no other choice but to say, “After you come back I
go eat lor.” And she say to me, “You not hungry hor. If you hungry can go eat
sweet first. After I come back then you go for your break.” I was even more
angry when she say that. How could she come later than me for work and go break
earlier than me. When she came back from her break she didn’t even bother to
come and tell me that it’s my time for break. As I was busy counting stocks at
that time. Around 3pm then she asked me to go and eat, which I am only left with half an hour to come back
from my break.
Around noon time, another auntie came to look after
the wagon(as ah eng aunt and me had our own counter to look after, so it is not
possible for us to walk here and there). When she arrived, she looks pretty
fine then for awhile she told ah eng auntie that she wasn’t feeling well as she
is having diarrhea. So she had been walking in and out of the staff resting
area. To me, she is actually acting and geng-ing. Then later say she want go
washroom. After that, came back to the wagon area and saw a few colleagues
which she had work together before and started talking to each other. She had
been walking round the whole floor talking to other colleagues and don’t even
looked like some sick people. When I asked her to help me do some things, she
claimed that she is having a stomach ache and needs the washroom. After that,
ah eng auntie ask me to work until closing today. I told her that I couldn’t
but she insist that I can. Because she say this to me, “Can one lah. You young
people don’t need go home so early one lah.” In the end, she went home at
6.30pm and left me with 4 counters and 8wagons to look after. I was really damn
furious as she let that act geng aunite go home early at around 4plus, which
she was suppose to work until closing.
What kind of working environment is this? A place to
bully youngsters is it? You think you are old people very nice to bully us is
it?! Anyway, I wasn’t in a very good mood today. But after work was the happiest
time I ever had because relatives came! J
